Located at just 30 minutes drive from Tuxtla Gutierrez, capital of Chiapas, the International Airport Angel Albino Corzo started operations on June 26, 2006, with a capacity to handle 350 operations daily, and 800,000 passengers annually. The airport’s main terminal is built in two levels, in order to separate the flow of arrivals and departures of passengers, who board and disembark using four fixed T-type boarding bridges, which connect simultaneously to the same number of aircrafts. In addition, there is a fifth remote terminal to handle an extra flight.

In compliance with the highest national and international security standards, the passenger terminal has four new devices for the scanning of luggage: two Computer Tomography Scanners and two Explosive Trace Detectors, besides x-ray screening devices and metal detectors.

The airport has a 1.5-mile long, 147 ft. wide runway, plus three taxiing roads and three aircraft parking bays. It can host up to a Boeing DC-737.

Our airport offers the businessperson a whole set of facilities and opportunities to invest in Chiapas, from storefront spaces in its main terminal, to plots of land for hangar construction. For the tourist, our airport is the best starting point to visit and get to know Chiapas.
